At University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Rebel Rebound helps justice-impacted students by serving as a resource and point of contact.
Established in 2021, Rebel Rebound reaches out to the nearly 10 percent of UNLV students estimated to be justice-impacted.
A highlight of Rebel Rebound’s work was the 2022 seminars for faculty and staff on how to better serve justice-impacted students.
“Rebel Rebound is a safe space for justice-impacted students. I, too, spent almost 15 years in the penitentiary. When students come into my office, many times it's trauma, it’s just to cry, because I am the only one who truly understands all that they are going through.”
