Commencement!  WNC Higher Education in Prison Program

Kiley Grayson, dressed in a black cap and gown, stood behind the podium and addressed his peers, delivering the student address at the Fall 2023 commencement for the Western Nevada College’s Higher Education in Prison Program. Grayson spoke about the difference an education makes in decreasing recidivism, the importance of respecting others, and the contributions of his fellow graduates in what they do on a daily basis despite being behind bars. 

WNC’s Fall 2023 graduates from the Northern Nevada Correctional Center (NNCC) collectively earned a 3.898 GPA.
