Inside-Out Prison Exchange
The University of Nevada, Reno, and the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office co-sponsor the Inside-Out Prison Exchange program, a semester-long course that brings together traditional and incarcerated students to explore the legal system, punishment, rehabilitation, and restorative justice.
Students, who write six papers and complete a group project, learn with and from each other, ultimately learning to situate their individual experiences in a broader context.
